Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
adultery ramification on the ''other man''
To get an immediate divorce due to adultery, the ''other man'' has agreed to be the witness and admit to the adultery. We also found out the ''other man'' is ALSO married...however is trying to avoid the adultery route. He has been separated a few months and is waiting out the separation time to pass to have his divorce final. If he has his name listed on my divorce papers as the adulterer, will that effect or mess up his separation process that he currently is going through? FYI, my divorce is in MD, his separation is in VA)

Re: adultery ramification on the ''other man''
Yes, it seems to me that the reference to him as an adulterer in your divorce papers could possibly have such an effect, particularly if his divorce is not going amicably, but his lawyer would obviously be in a much better position to make such a determination.
