How old do you need to be to live without your parents in the state of Virginia?

If your parents want you to live with them, under normal circumstances the answer is eighteen. You could, of course, seek to be emancipated before that time, but whether or not a court would grant an emancipation petition would depend on your circumstances and the facts of your case, i.e., do you meet the statutory requirements for emancipation.
