Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Alimony or Child Support Level of Importance

My husband's ex wife is fighting him tooth and nail to keep her illegal alimony going that she should have terminated via court order in 1996. My husband legally adopted my daughter (who is 16 now) in April 2000. I have struggled to keep up with most of my daughter's expenses on my own since this time. If my husband cannot get the alimony terminated via the court, is there anything that I can do to stop this woman from receiving the money that should be used to help take care of this minor child?

No, you have no standing to do anything with respect to the issue of this alimony, but if it was suppose to have terminated 13 years ago by court order, I see no reason why your husband should now have to fight "tooth and nail" to give it a long overdue legal coup de grace.
