alimony

i have been married 9 yrs, the man does not work, drinks and we have had custody of his 2 kids for 8yrs. he cannot read,but promised me he would learn, i suspect he smokes pot, he threatens me when i ask him for a divorce. he says he wants the house which is in my name only and wants lots of alimony, i want out but i do not want to pay him one dime, i feel like walking away and claiming bankrupcy and letting them foreclose.

If you're ready to separate from your husband in order to lay the legal groundwork for divorce, you should make arrangements to arrange for a consultation with an attorney who can advise you accordingly.
