alimony

can my military retirement or regular paycheck be garnished for alimony paymnets to my ex? what happens if I stop paying her when I move out of the state?

Yes, DFAS(Defense Finance and Accounting Services)will be quite happy to honor any valid garnishment properly served upon it for back alimony owed under a valid court order by a servicemember whether he or she be retired or active duty and irrespective of where s/he may reside.
