alimony payments

If a man owes alimony but is unable to work for a period of time, is it possible to get the alimony payments temporarily suspended and added to the end of the alimony payment term?

That's up to the court in charge of the matter.

(That means the man needs to petition the court for permission to do what you've suggested.)
