Alimony Support

I need to know, if my wife can get spousal support even though she has H1B. Can she file for spousal support in India?. I do not know, if she resigned or got fired from her job by her Company in USA. Currently she is in India. I am proceeding with Divorce from her in Virginia as she deserted me. Please advise.
