My wife and I are legally separated, we are supposed to be working on our marrige, but today I found out she is on an online dating service so I believe its over, My question is since she bought the computer for me as a fathers day gift is it legal for me to take it?

Yes, if the computer was given to you as a gift

it belongs only to you and is not marital(shared)

property.

You should be able to take it with you without (legal)repercussions.

If you are separated and not living in the marital home (which is where the computer is) and you have legal title to the home (on the Deed) and you're not barred from the house by Court Order - then by all means. Can't break into a house you own and can't steal something that is marital property.

Have fun.
