Annulment

If a person happens to marry a person but later finds out that the person only wanted to use them to get their visa and the person informed them that they wanted to get an annulment and they only kept in contact when the person needed money and now that it has almost been a year the person has pressed the issue of the annulment because they don't have the money to pay for it...what can they do to end this marriage without it looking ''suspicious'' being that they were receiving money from the other person?
