Appeal for Past Child Support Arrears

Thanks for answering my prior question. If there has already been a hearing regarding the child support arrears. The judge has stated the need to pay the arrears or there will be additional time serve, is it possible to appeal the ruling and inquire if I have any alternatives?

Virtually any final ruling in a Virginia J&DR Court

can be appealed to the circuit court within 10 days of the ruling.
