Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Appealing Judges Decision

We just went to court on June 30th and her father does not like the courts decision. The judge gave me sole legal and physical custody, based on his drug abuse and where he is staying there is drug abuse, and gave the father a 4-day weekend every 6 wks, and Tues & Thurs mornings. Now he doesn't like how it turned out, when he fights it, can another judge change the ruling? If so, how and why.

Re: Appealing Judges Decision

If the decision was entered in the J&DRDC, the

father would have 10 days to file his appeal of it with the circuit court. If the facts are as you say, it would be extremely unlikely for

a judge presiding over the appeal to overturn the lower court's decision.
