Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

The biological father of my child got an order for paternity and visitation. It has taken him 3 years to start the process. Is there a limitation statue on how long to file a paternity test? Also, if he has other pending custody issues, and has not paid child support, which i know he has against him, how can i find this out and prove it, or will it even make a difference?

No, there is no statute of limitations on paternity and the state of the putative father's other cases involving other children is unlikely to have little or no effect on whether the court hearing his petition for visitation will grant it(if it hasn't already done so).
