Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My Car

I am 18 years old and i am about to graduate. I am trying to get my dad to sign my car over to me, which i payed for with a large amount of money. I have a check receipt showing that I payed for it, and no one elses name is on it. I am trying to get the car so i can sell it. I am wantin to buy a cheaper car, so i will have enough money left over for insurance, and a down payment for an apartment. It is very hectic at my house, and I Need out, because i am scared for my life. My mom has threatened to kill me and told me that she hated me.

Better arrange to discuss this matter with one of your school counselors before you graduate.

Re: My Car

I advise that you speak with a counselor regarding your family problems. Also, to the extent you feel threatened by residing in the house with your parents you should consult the local domestic violence group or shelter.
