change of where a case shoudl be herard and how to change where baased on where

I would like to know what code shows how to change where a case is heard and what law says where a case should be heard. Is this based on where the child lives? and how would i go about changing it? I have already filed a motion witht he court to change it. but would like to know some cases and codes to back myself up. already have searched caseefinder geronimo.

please help courrt is next week!!!!

The court will normally exercise its jurisdiction in the locality where the child lives.

Little will change by attempting to select a

new venue. Whatever court that finally hears whatever matter you're putting before it, will still be required to base its determinations on what is in the best interests of the child.
