name change of a child

I an getting ready to go to court to change the last name of my two children. The father does not agree to this. He has no visitation rights and I have sole custody of the chilren. What is the chances of me being able to get their names changed?

Much more information would be needed in order to respond to this question with even a modicum of reliability, beginning with the issue as to why the father allegedly "has no visitation rights", not to mention many other possible issues involving the conduct of the father with respect to these children.

The judge hearing the matter will very likely want to know the answers to these as well as related questions in decidng your petition for changing the names of your minor children, (and, metaphorically speaking, distancing their father even more from them than they already are).
