how to change child's last name

I want both of my children to have the same last name. One has the father's name, and one has my last name. I never married the father of my two children. He is not in their lives at all.

You may be able to download a packet of forms with instructions entitled "Name Change for a Minor Child" from the website of your local circuit court

which explains how to do it without engaging the services of an attorney.
