changing support

My husband is going to court to have child support revisited do to custody being changed. Does the fact that we have a son allow for a change to the amount?

Re: changing support

The amount of support may be modified where there is a substantial change of circumstances and it is in the best interest of the child to do so. A change in custody, where the previously noncustodian parent becomes the custodial parent could likely be grounds for a change of the amount. I am not sure what you mean be referring to the fact that you have a son (as opposed to a daughter), as the sex of the child has nothing to do with the decision.
