child custody

If the father of my child give me full custody in front of public notary, would that be legitimate for the court?I mean, would it a valid thing.

While parents of a child may agree upon a custody arrangement, only a court order would be effective to legally establish it. However, even then the court retains the continuing power to reconsider custody if the best interests of the child require that there be a change.
