Can a grand mother get custody of a child (her grandchild) if both parents are living but not married or living together?

Yes, it might be possible, if in fact the parents in effect were adjudged by a court of proper jurisdiction to be unfit for their jobs as parents and that it would be in the best interests of the child to transfer custody to the child's grandmother(not too likely, quite frankly).
