Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Child Custody

Hello, I am not married and my partner and I have decided to separate. We have two children. My entire family is in Texas and I plan to move there. Do I automatically have full rights to the children? Do I need to go to court to claim full custody? I don't have him to have any rights.

Re: Child Custody

Yes, being the natural mother of these children you have full parental rights with respect to these children and have no need to attempt to claim in court that which you already have.
