child custody questoin

the father of my 3 year daughter would like his parental rights back from my father. we had our daughter at ther age of 18 and at the time the father of my child did not have health care coverage at he job, and the only way that our daughter could get health care was if my dad got joint custody. The father of my child and I are now back together and would like to move, but we know that my father is not just going to give up his rights. What can we do?
