child custody

i share legal custody of my daugther with the father he just got put in jail. Can he file a power of attorney over to his mother and would she then become the father as far as having to give her to the grandmother?

No, a POA cannot be used to transfer legal custody

of a child from an incarcerated person to someone else in the manner described as far as I am aware.
