child custody
if i go on a trip to see another man can my boyfriend of 8 years use this agianst me to get custody our son? we have not slept in the same bed for months there has been an occassionally night or 2 but no sex involved. we both agree to this break up and we are both very rational people. we are together only for fin. reasons until june or july than he is moving out. thank you for your time

More facts are needed to make a a more definitive determination, such as the age of your son and whether he would be accompanying you on your proposed trip "to see another man" and whether your son would be staying with you and this other man, or someone else, etc.
However, even without answers to these factual questions, the answer is it probably would not affect your right to maintain custody of your son.
