Child Protective Services

If child protective services deems that a parent is abusing their child, and takes that child away, does the child get to decide where he/she lives? The child is 15 years old.

No, the child under these circumstances becomes a ward of the state which then has full authority to

decide where the child will live, e.g., in a foster care placement, with another relative, or in some other acceptable alternative living arrangement., etc.
