Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

child support

If I am attending college and have had literally no income source, and have been living off student loans and help from my parents only. Can I be made to pay over $600 monthly in support based on the fact that I could've been working instead of attending school. I am threatened with that if I don't voluntarily give up all custody.
