Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Child Support

My daughter turns 18 soon and child support will no longer be paid by her father. My daughter will be attending college, is there any chance of me being able to get her father to continue paying support will she is in college?

Re: Child Support

In Virginia under S20-61 the duty to support a minor child ends(except for incapcitated children) unless there is an agreement by the obligor(the one paying the support) which has been incorporated into a court order such as a property settlement agreement(PSA)incorporated (but not merged)into a final decree of divorce, whereby the obligor agrees to continiue the support while the child attends college, up to a certain age.

Re: Child Support

Addition and correction to previous answer: The first line of my answer should read duty to support ends "when the child reaches age 18"...
