Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Child Support

I just found out I waisted 2k on a lawyer. I am disabled and unable to travel to the state that set the order. ''I was told by the judge and the DA that they could not change the order because it was originated in another state.'' The last time I called the case worker in the orginating state she said she could not talk to me..... Some one help please?????

Re: Child Support

More information would be useful regarding the nature of the order at issue in analyzing this situation, but if it involved child or spousal support as well as accumulated arrearages and was registered in one of the courts in the state to which you were unable to travel, you have very likely been correctly informed as to the order's current unalterability.
