You would be well advised to first try the Parent Locator Service within the Virginia Division of Child Support Enforcement(DCSE)to determine whether they might be able to locate your former husband.(The fee for this should be minimal or, perhaps, none at all). DCSE can, also, provide you with enforcement services if your former husband is located and you cannot afford to retain an attorney to pursue enforcement of the delinquent support order.

There are also locator services on the Internet such as Peopledata.com which provide access to various databases for a fee (around $60) which you also might want to consider utilizing to locate your absondant former husband.

Your children would not be eligible to collect survivor's benefits from your ex-husband's social security account without some proof of his demise

(or declaration from a court declaring him deceased).
