Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

child support

I petitioned the court to have child support lowered. The other day i received an interrogatory papaer from the mothers lawyer and I was wondering if I was obligated to fill it out and return it. Also I was wondering if I could get access to the mothers wages before we go to court. I currently do noth have a lawyer and plan on representing myself.

Re: child support

Yes, you are obligated to answer these interrogstories as best you are able and return them to the sender in a timely fashion.

And, yes, as a party in the case, you yourself are entitled to issue your own interrogtories to the other side, requesting information regarding the mother's wages and income. (You could follow the same format as the interrogatories which were sent to you.)
