Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Child Support In VA

My childs father pays child support, and we live in 2 separate households. What exactly does child support cover? Because he is saying that he does not need to buy her shoes and clothes for his home because he pays child support, and that he doesn't have to buy her any necessities. How true is that, because we had an agreement that he will buy her clothes and shoes for his house, as i do for my house and we will keep them at each others house. Do i have to send clothes and things over there with her? And whatever he doesn't have isn't he responsible for.

Re: Child Support In VA

Child support under the Virginia Child Support Guidelines includes all the items which you've mentioned, as well as medical and daycare expenses.

Your agreement does not appear to be working and

it would probably be best to have a court order in place to determine who pays what and when.
