Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
Child Supporting Hearing in chambers
My husband has just returned from Iraq and surprised me with a cruise. We live in TX and I have a child support hearing in VA during the cruise. The judge is demanding that I appear in person. Can someone other than an attorney represent me at this hearing in the judges chambers? Please advise. Thank you.

No, not if the judge is requiring that you appear in person for the hearing. (Better put the cruise plans on hold.)

I would not advise a non-attorney represent you for any legal matters. These hearings have serious consequences that only and attorney should be able to handle for you.
