Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

child visitation with a teenager

in Virginia, at what age can a child legally decide that he or she no longer wants to see her non-custodial parent even if a visitation agreement has been in place for a number of years?

Re: child visitation with a teenager

There is no such particular age (of which I'm aware)that is legally recognized on the part of a child subject to a visitation order.

Only a court has the power to modify such a visitation order and it would only be done so if the court believes

it would serve the best interests of the subject child.
