Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

my child

My 15 year old child has recently been in a lot of trouble in school and is failing 3 subjects. Recently he tried to sneak out of the home at 1 am. I found out about the plan, I locked him in his room for two days. During this time he was feed and let out for bathroom breaks. I have been reported to Social servies for my behaivor. As a parent do I have to speake to social servies? Must I allow them to do a family evaluation?

Re: my child

Yes, you had better talk to these folks and allow them to do their family evaluation (if you want to maintain custody of your child).

They may even come up with some suggestions/solutions which will enable you to better manage this child. (Locking him in his room for two days cannot be one of those.)
