Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My childrens paternal grandmother has had temp. custody of my 3 older children for 10 years now. She has moved to 4 different states within this time making it impossible for me to keep up with them, as i am low income. Now she has petitioned the courts to adopt them so she can claim them on her social security. My 15 year old does not want to be adopted and in fact wants to live with me, the biological mother. These children were not taken from me as i made the decision for the grandmother to have temp. custoday of them as i was very young and nieve about the whole legal situation and assumed i could get them back at any time. This was not the case. How do I go about getting my 15 year old back?

You should make the court aware in which the adoption papers have been filed that as the natural parent of the subject children that you contest the adoption.

And you should file your petition for custody of these children in the court having jurisdiction over this matter(most likely a court in the state where the children have resided for at least the last six months.)
