Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have several concerns regarding spousal support and custody of my son in a divorce. I need to get an education and may need to live on campus for two years, can I get spousal support after 22 years of marriage if my husband wins custody as a result of my job only paying $400.00/mo. since it is part time and I need to finalize my degree? Could I get my son put in a preperatory boarding school for those couple of years for ADHD kids to help him have more structure than either of us can provide during this time?

Yes, you would appear to have a credible claim for an award of spousal support. I have no idea regarding the boarding school proposal for your son other than to say it probably would be up a judge to decide whether it meets the best interests of the child standard for your son's particular situation which the court would rely on in making a determination on this issue.
