Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Court Case

My ex husband and I have a timeshare and it was agreed upon in the divorce that it is put on the market for sale and we were to split the marketing cost, which we did. The timeshare is currently on the market but he has not been helping me make any payments on it in about a year, Is there any way that I can take in to court in order to have him pay half of the payments until it is sold?

Re: Court Case

You would be well advbised to pose this question to the attorney who presumably(and hopefully)represented you competently in the divorce matter.

Re: Court Case

There is no way to force him to share in the ongoing payments pending sale if the Decree did not provide for such a payment division. However, when it is time to account for the profits or loss, you can recover whatever unequal expenses you advanced from the Court in an enforcement suit.

Good luck
