Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
Court Custody/support order
does a seperaton agreement that becomes a court order stay vaild if you reconcile with the other person. We were never married, have one child and live in Virginia. At the time I signed that he could claim her on his taxes. He did for the nine months we were seperated and the 4 1/2 years we got back together. We seperated again about a year ago and I claimed her this year. He says I am going to jail. I had the case moving forward in court to be amended and he got angry. How much trouble will I get in, the child lives with me. He is in violation of some terms of the origininal order as well. Please help

Re: Court Custody/support order
You should consult an attorney about all this. The tax treatment should have been covered as standard language in a separation agreement. Good luck.
