Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I went to court for my final process on my divorce (March 20, 2015). Ex-wife is seeking part of my pension. Judge hearing case said we would come back in 4 weeks- it has been nine weeks now. I called my lawyer at his office and spoke with the paralegal and was told that my lawyers license was suspended for 4 months. I was not happy because I am so ready for this union to be over. Can you please give me advise and tell me what my rights are- do I have to wait the 4 months for his license to be reinstated. I am so disappointed at this point because I have called him on his mobile several times and he has not returned any of my calls.

It happens from time to time that judges can't meet a deadline. Since your attorney is now under a disability and can't contact the judge, perhaps a polite letter from you to the judge explaining that and asking when to expect a ruling would be in order.
