Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Custody battle on the rise...what to do?

I am currently going through a custody battle with my daughter father, who was my boyfriend 10 years ago, and a year ago had a one night stand with which ended up with me getting pregnant. He also happens to be a ''gangbanger/drug dealer'' amongst many things. He has an extensive criminal history, and is a convicted felon. I am a great mother, provide a clean and safe environment for my child, have my own apartment, car, job and put myself through school and obtained a bachelor degree at a local university. (in which he has none of those things, and has rarely been in her life-didnt want her and denied her until the parternity test this week). Soon after my ecounter with my daughter father, I began an intimate relationship with a woman, which I keep discreet, but was presented to the judge by the father out of spite. Now the judge is questioning if I am a suitable mother because of my relationship with woman. It is obvious that the judge is biased and againt homosexuals...what do i need to do to ensure that I get full custody with little visitation (supervised) to the father who lives a dangerous lifestyle that no child should be succum to? Any great lawyers known that I should contact?

You haven't indicated where in Virginia the matter is curently being litigated, but if it's outside the NoVa area or Richmond areas, you will probably get something less than the full custody which you are seeking and then will be faced with the decision as to whether to appeal the court's ruling (in my opinion).
