Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Custody

If husbands exwife is trying to move the children out of state (court date is already set) due to her husband being in the military is there anything that we can do to try and stop this? Custody was a thought but I was to believe that in VA they rule for the mother unless we can prove her unfit. which she is not. we just don't want the kids to move out of state.

Re: Custody

Your husband can attempt to stop it(the move) by appearing as the party aggrieved at the scheduled hearing and presenting good and persuasive reasons to the court as to why it would not be in the best interests of his children for the court to rule that they may be removed by their mother from the territory of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
