I want to move out of the state. Need to know would I be violating any law by doing so. I have custody of my 4 year old son; ex husband has visitation only.

Re: custody

You must provide written notice to the court and the father concerning your move. At that point the father may choose to do nothing, or, he may object to the move by seeking a change of custody. (note: a court may only prevent the children's move, it may not prevent yours.)
