Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Custody

I have sole custody of our son. My ex husband is engaged. My ex is taking me to court, because he says I'm not living up to the visitation agreement. I'm so thankful that I've kept records of his visitation with our son (6yrs old now) every since we first separated. I also have friends who are willing to testify on my behalf. He filed these ridiculous charges, because I'm taking him to court in July for not paying child support. If the judge believes him, can I lose custody of my son? If he's believed can I go to jail for not complying with the divorce/visitation agreement? If he's trying to gain custody will it be easy for him to get after he's remarried and I'm still single (two parent home vs my single parent home)? I've never kept our son away from him. It's very scary having to go to court. I worry everyday about this. My son is my life - my whole existence - I don't want to lose him. What can I do? Pls advise. Thank you.

If this is true why are you dealing with this motion by seeking free adbvise on the internet? You need a lawyer who practices family law. This is your child after all and worth whatever it may cost you to keep him.

That having been said, if you indeed have the records on visitation and you have truly never interfered with your x's visitation and there is nothing else to this motion, other than as a counter motion to you support motion, you appear to have little to fear. The tone of panic in your post seems to indicate there is more here than you are saying. Please call an attorney and get yourself represntation, ASAP.
