Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Custody

My sons father and I do not get along. We have joint custody over our son. I have recently moved in with my fiance of 4years who has a stable background in the school system and is wonderful to my children. My sons father has now threatned to take me back to court for custody. My fiance and I plan to get married by next year but now I am wondering do I need to speed things up in fear of loosing my child. Could I be in jeopardy of loosing custody? Please help

Re: Custody

If there are other factors in your life(aside from your living with your fiance in an unmarried state) which the court might regard as adverse to the best interests of your children, your current live-in arrangement with your fiance might prove problematical for your retention of joint custody if the father were to seek sole custody of the boys.
