Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
custody/visitation
My daughter went to court to get custody of her kids, her aunt got full custody of the kids. We get visitation with the kids every other weekend. Do we have the right to request that they let us know when they first take the kids to the doctor? also, the oldest child is starting school and we want to be kept up to date with her information from school is this something that I can request from my lawyer to ask her lawyer or do I have the right to know?

Re: custody/visitation
Sure, you can ask, but if the aunt has full custody and "we", meaning your daughter, has only visitation rights with the children, then your daughter would appear to have no special entitlement to the kind of information which you've referenced on an ongoing basis unless the court specifically orders it.
