Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I have custordy of my daughter and living in VA. In three months, I want to move to either TX, CA or NJ after remarriage to my new husband but dont want my ex to get custody of the daughter. Please advise what I can do to make it a hassle free move.

You must comply with the requirements of your current custody

order in regard to this proposed move which undoubtedly includes a provision

that you must give at least 30 days advance notice to the child's father

as well as to the court of your intent to move out of state with the subject child so that the father may have a hearing scheduled to contest it if he chooses.
