Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My daughter is 19 and in college. I was not custodial parent and had a child support obligation that ended at age 18. I am in arrears but child does not live with the custodial parent anymore. Do I still owe this to the custodial parent and is there anything I can do to request that the child receives the money now that she is grown? It would really help her with paying for college. Daughter is in Virginia, custodial parent lives in West Virginia and I lvie in Texas.

The former custodial parent would normally be due the arrears as reimbursement

for his or her expenditures which were made in the child's behalf

during the period when you were not paying any support (in my opinion).
