Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My daughter will be two in a couple months was not sure who her father

Was until I did a home dnactest that states it is not with hold able in court

I have moved back to Va he is not in birth certificate and I was wondering

If I could change her last name to my maiden name she currently has my soon to be ex husbands name who is not her father please help me

You may be able to pick up a packet of forms with

instructions entitled "Name Change for a Minor" from

the clerk's office of your local circuit court or download

it from the court's website. This packet should have everything

you need to file for the name change without the assistance

of an attorney and explain the procedure step by step.
