Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

DCSE actions

I having been paying child support through DCSE. Earlier this year, I became unemployed and was unable to pay the child support. So I filed a motion in circuit court to reduce the child support, and was told that if my motion is granted then the reduced amount will be effective the day the motion was filed. My ex is attempting to prolong the court hearing stating that I am lying about my employment status and she needs to do a lot of discovery. I would like to stop paying the child support to DCSE though, because I simply cannot afford it. But DCSE is threatening to revoke my driver's license if I did so. How can I avoid DCSE aggression?

Re: DCSE actions

DCSE is not committing "aggression" against you, but merely following up with the requirements of your current support order which is the amount that you are obligated to pay until the circuit court rules otherwise.

Your issues would appear to lie with what's happening with your motion pending in the circuit court and not with DCSE.
