deadbeat dads

dead beat dad lives in ny.. ex wife/kids live in va. deadbeat dad is currently working and has not pd child support in last 2 years. ex wife is not pressing any charges currently. is there anything that can be done or are there any authorities i need to inform of his whereabouts?is it none of my business?

Your question is muddled as to essential facts, one of which is what is your relationship to the children to whom the "deadbeat dad" owes the duty of support? Another one being, are these children currently the recipients of public assistance?

A NY child support order is enforceable by various remedies. The payee (the custodial parent) may be able to recoup attorney's fees incurred in bringing enforecement action.
