Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Debt inquired after separation without papers

My husband and I have lived apart for 3 months without legal papers. We sold our home together and paid off debt incured together. He has since bought a home on his own. Will or could I ever be responsible for the debt of his new home? My name is not attached nor did I sign any papers for the home. Thank you Cathy

Re: Debt inquired after separation without papers

Not likely, as long as you don't sign any papers taking on any obligations related to his new house note.
